Captain's Log:
I learned more about the port deal today. President Bush asked the company buying the contracts to wait a little while, which they agreed too, so that he could convince congress that it was the right move to make. I also learned that the company we are selling this contract to is from a friendly Arab nation. The President, in an effort to keep peace and alliance with this country, has kept the ball rolling on this deal. Other than the fact that they are a friend to America, I know nothing else about the company. Time will tell if the White House is making the right move.
I started the third season of 24 today and finished the first disk...very exciting.
I talked to Bro. Snyder today and discussed the possibility of moving from a lame linux server to a more powerful MS Server 03 RC2 server. He likes the idea, but I need to get the purchase approved by Pastor as well. We will see how that goes.
In the Olympics, we are one medal away from first place in medal count. Germany has 24 and we just got our 23 medal. Hopefully, if we keep up our medal count for the next two days, we can walk away with first place. I do not think Germany got a medal today, so we can take the upper hand tomorrow.
It is supposed to rain all day tomorrow and the next. We were supposed to move a bunch of appliances for Nathan tomorrow, so that he can finish his kitchen in his condo. We will see how that goes. We also have to move and install his concrete countertop...which weighs almost four hundred pounds...
That will be all for tonight; short post. I am going to go to bed and then sleep in tomorrow. I cannot wait.
Night,
Lorimer
