Captain's Log:
I just arrived home from my GA trip. I am going to devise a new format for these log entries, but I am still working on it, so the complete version will not appear until the end of the week and possibly next week. For now, we will call tonight's version 0.5.
Bible: John 8:12-59
Today, while I was driving home from my grandparents, I saw a billboard that gave this reference, so I decided to look it up. While driving, I took quick glances at the verses and actually learned quite a few things from the passage. Jesus is talking to the Pharisees in the temple and telling them that they are all liars and trying to get the point of his divinity across to the idiots. He must have told them four different ways that God was his father, and finally he said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." (v. 58) Then it dawned on the Pharisees that He was calling himself God. However, when they took up stones to kill Him, Jesus made his way through the crowd as if they were not there. "But Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by." (v. 59) Maybe he made himself invisible, or just temporarily blinded those who sought to kill him. Either way, because his hour had not yet come, he left. I thought it was great when he called them liars and sons of Satan, and they still did not understand what he was saying. Great passage there.
Books: Mariel of Redwall, The Pale Horseman
I made no progress on my books this weekend, which is not good. I need to finish these books. The pale horseman is actually very good, but I just don't make time to read it.
Current Events: No Entry
Movies: No Entry
There will be more categories later, I suppose, but for now that is good. I am going to eat something and go to bed. Until tomorrow.
