Captain's Log:
I took it easy today, but I did get something accomplished at least. This morning I had church as usual, then the normal Firehouse ritual. Afterwards, I went to my parent's house to eat dinner for my dad and sister are now in town (my dad for the week, and my sister for the summer). My dad is retiring this year in August, so he will be coming to live here after that.
I ran over my parent's neighbor's dog yesterday and killed it. I was pulling out of my parent's driveway and this little dog darts out of nowhere, under my back tire and I squished the life out of it. Today I quoted the Anchorman line, "A small dog clings to life..." but the dog only clung to life for a short while before it died. That was not the best ending to a day.
Robert and Mark now have a 360, which is sweet. I talked to Rob last night and he is good. I hope they are doing alright, and I hope to get up there to see everybody this summer. That will be nice, since I have not been up there in quite some time.
I am doing my last load of laundry for the day...(sigh of relief)...finally finished with that for a while. But today's big event was my trip to Home Depot, where I picked up some baseboard and started doing the trim in my house. I finished 90% of the hall and the closet in the hall. I also started working my way out into the living room. Next sunday, I might finish the hallway and living room...we will see how ambitious I get.
I watched Hoodwinked last night...hilarious movie. Worth seeing again.
I just downloaded and installed Windows Live Messenger. Looks great. One of the great features (which also include video conferencing and voice chat) is the ability to share files through the messenger. Great advancement.
I purchased a replica of the World Cup Match Ball...the Teamgeist...from Dick's sporting goods, which just opened. Great store...great ball. It is not as nice as the 130 dollar ball, but what can you expect for 25 bucks.
I am all finished with college for the semester, and I am looking to find a university at which to finish my degree. Hopefully I can be done soon.
School at Wade ends in two weeks and then we have three days of finals, and then I am done for the year. All I have to do on graduation night is walk the isle and sit in the choir loft. Totally awesome...well it will be once I get there.
I believe that post is long enough for tonight. I will be back soon. Hopefully. How many times have I said that and then not written in about a month...oh well.
Later (I don't know what that means any more),
Lorimer

Umm.
If you aren't an attorney, you should be.
So organized, dry humor.
Happy mommy's day!
You ran over their dog? That is hilarious! I wish I could back over my neighbor's cat! I also agree with you about "Hoodwinked" - great little flik. I think the goat may have been my favorite.
